Earlier this year we did our first major competition of 2022, giving away over 300 WAX NFTs to celebrate the launch of the Token Gamer app. To say it was a success is an understatement and we were overwhelmed by not only the interest from the community, but from the games and projects that wanted to partner.

As you can imagine, collating this many NFTs, games, projects, and setting it all up was time-consuming and difficult, and while worth it, we want to be giving away great NFTs more frequently than that. So, that’s what we’re going to do. Let’s get started, shall we?

What Is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands, at its most basic level, is an autobattler TCG. But, that underplays how fun and deep a game it is. Splinterlands had such a great year last year, we ended up giving it our Blockchain Game of the Year 2021. Here’s an excerpt of why we chose it:

With interesting variables such as the total value of your deck changing every game, the developers have neatly overcome gameplay becoming stale.”

Splinterlands has been expanding in all directions with the addition of guilds, tournaments, daily quests, seasons, leaderboards, rewards, staking, and so on. However, one that raised some interested eyebrows is land.
