The Token Gamer WAX app has just received a major update to roll out push notifications. If you sell that NFT you’re flipping for profit, receive some $WAXP, or any other activity on your account, you’ll be notified!
We at Token Gamer have been in the WAX ecosystem since 2018. WAX was one of two gaming-centric blockchains that pushed us towards creating Token Gamer in the first place and we have stuck with it ever since. Although Token Gamer is chain agnostic, we still believe WAX to be one of the front runners for blockchain gaming, so we set a few objectives with that in mind. Firstly, we became a block producer for WAX — we could think of few ways to be more useful to the chain than that! Secondly, we set about creating apps and dapps for WAX, starting with the Token Gamer mobile app.
We wanted to create a WAX app with everything we, as WAX users, wanted to see. Since its initial release, we have iterated on the original version to add filters, sorting of your NFTs, and more. But, there was one feature we’d always wanted and now it’s live: notifications.
Mobile banking was dreadful for so many years, but with the advent of companies like Monzo, as well as the traditional banks that had to follow suit, it has improved. Now, my mobile banking apps are crucial to me for a few reasons, one being push notifications. When money goes in or out of my account, I’m immediately notified. Wouldn’t it be nice if that could happen for your WAX wallet too?
How to Enable Push Notifications for Your WAX Account
Firstly, download the Token Gamer app — don’t worry it’s free and there’s no subscription or premium version hiding.

TL;DR For our long-standing users: simply go into your account page in-app, click the cog, and enable the bell icon.
For new users, follow the finger:
1. Open the Token Gamer app and click the WAX icon at the bottom
2. Press the “Accounts” button
3. Press “Add Account”
4. Enter your WAX wallet address and hit “Add Account”
5. Swipe left to reveal this account details page and click “Activity”
6. Click the cog in the top right to open settings
7. Click “Enable” to turn on push notifications for your wallet
You’re all done! It should have turned red to indicate push notifications enabled
As you can see, there are three filters. These allow you to turn off push notifications for small transfers of tokens, receiving NFTs, or Dapp-based activity. I would recommend leaving them all off until you encounter something that annoys you. For instance, some dapps — particularly games — can spam multiple transactions for everything you do.
To celebrate the launch of this feature, we’re giving away 1,000 $WAXP. Details are coming soon, but to enter, all you have to do is enable notifications on the wallet you want to enter with. We can see which wallets have notifications enabled and we will pick one at random and deposit 1,000 $WAXP straight into it.
