In a flagship collaboration, Oasys, the game-centric blockchain, has announced its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to co-host the “GameWave Genesis” hackathon. Major industry players Ubisoft, ChainGuardians, Adventure Gold DAO, and AAG have also joined as event partners. The event, running from 18th August to 13th September, is set to offer a sizable prize pool of $42,000, aiming to spotlight web3 game development and innovations.
Event Highlights:
- Empowering Developers: GameWave Genesis seeks to empower developers with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to develop and deploy on the Oasys platform, bridging traditional gaming with web3.
- Broad Reach: The hackathon will feature at Ethereum Singapore 2023 and TOKEN2049, Asia’s leading crypto conference, ensuring it reaches a diverse and vast audience, especially gaming professionals keen on Oasys and its gaming applications.
- Prizes to Grab: The top three projects can bag prizes totaling $30,000 in USDT, with first, second, and third places winning $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000, respectively. Moreover, participants will be eligible for $30,000 in AWS credits, Ubisoft perks, and assistance to launch their projects on Oasys or its Verses. There are additional awards across various categories from Oasys’ sponsors.
- Themes and Submissions: Developers can choose from a range of themes such as interoperability, NFTs, and more. The submission deadline is set for 5th September, with finalists being announced on 8th September.
- Distinguished Panel: Dominic Jang of Oasys will be joined by representatives from AWS, Ubisoft, Square Enix, ChainGuardians, AAG, and Adventure Gold DAO to judge the submissions.
