DYGYCON 7 starts today, 21st January 2022, and runs until the 23rd. It is an event loosely centered around Play to Earn, NFTs, and blockchain gaming, with a whole host of great booths, speakers, events, and more. The first event is a panel with Dogira at 3 pm EST on Friday 21st January, on Blockchain Gaming and NFTs.
As the name implies, this is the 7th DYGYCON, with several happening last year. Virtual conferences take some getting used to, but once you’ve familiarised yourself with them, they have their perks over physical ones. Although the word “networking” makes me uncomfortable, this is a great place to meet other people in blockchain gaming, particularly if you’re looking to work in space in the future.
Attendees of DYGYCON have been growing more or less event-on-event, but it’s still so small. This is far from criticism; it’s a reminder of how young our sub-industry is. Attending these sorts of conferences is the opportunity to usher yourself into the inner circle of blockchain gaming founders. You’ll be able to scoff at people during DYGYCON 100: “I’ve been here since DYGYCON was in single digits.”
DYGYCON 7 Event Details
There are some great speakers at this event if you’re looking to learn more about the space, with the likes of Aggroed, co-founder of Splinterlands, Jason Brink, CMO of Gala Games, and Andrew Prell, CEO of Silica Nexus, among others!
There are then competitions, NFT giveaways, NFT auctions, news announcements, it really is a fully fleshed out conference. WAX has a strong presence in terms of booths too, with WAX themselves, Blockchain Brawlers, Atomic Hub (including co-host of WAX Lyrical, John of NFT Insider), Costume Clash (by Stratton Studios), Warsaken, Immersys, Anyobservation (Anders Björk), and more.
The other highlight for me is Gala Games’ attendance. We are long-standing fans of Gala and it’s great to see them and WAX at the same conference.
So, come on in and say hello. We will be meandering around all weekend. Thanks to character customization, I won’t be hard to find.
