Donnie Dinch, CEO of Bitski: Mint One 59

For blockchain gaming to exist, it requires some impressive infrastructure. One wallet and ecosystem, Bitski, is an impressive part of the space and so we sat down with its CEO, Donnie Dinch to see what the landscape is like from a technical standpoint.

Token Gamer and NFT Insider have decided to combine forces to launch a weekly podcast, Mint One (formerly WAX Lyrical). John Nichols of NFT Insider and I will discuss a new topic every week, as well as feature special guests. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover, make sure you let us know through the Token Gamer Discord or Twitter, or the NFT Insider Discord or Twitter.

In last week’s episode, John and I spoke with Grant Haseley of Undead Blocks. This week, we continue interview season, but from a completely different perspective of Web3.

Mint One Podcast, Episode 59: Donnie Dinch, CEO of Bitski

Many of you will know, Token Gamer is a block producer for the WAX network, and so we have an understanding of what it takes to help run a blockchain. That said, it is such a complex process, that we cannot possibly have a complete understanding of even this one area. So, creating a multifaceted crypto wallet and secure ecosystem to be augmented into games and dapps, an app and browser extension, and SDKs to facilitate it all, is unfathomable.

Much of what Bitski has achieved since 2017 has been done off their own backs. Just 6 years ago, very few out-the-box solutions existed for the many problems of the fledgling industry. This meant that to build useful tools in the space and to solve problems, you needed to carve the path yourself. This commands a level of respect in itself, particularly when you’re working with relatively new technology.

In this episode, John and I discuss with Donnie the state of the industry, the fallout from the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, Bitski’s brilliant wallet, and much more.

We’d like to ask that if you listen to us on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, you rate us five stars and leave us a review if you enjoy Mint One. This helps both our podcast and the blockchain gaming ecosystem as a whole!

To listen to Mint One, you can find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, YouTube, and Google Podcasts.
