Blockchain Gaming Event, AtomicHub Game Fest, Announced

The leading web3 marketplace and good friend of ours, AtomicHub, has announced their first online blockchain gaming event, AtomicHub Game Fest! Starting on the 19th June 2023 and running for a week, AtomicHub Game Fest (AHGF from herein to save my fingers) will be hosting a first-of-its-kind web3 gaming event with over $3,000 of prizes and seven different games to sink your teeth into.

AtomicHub has been a marketplace I have used for years and was foundational to the WAX ecosystem in its early days, and still is today. What many don’t know is a little piece of lore about the marketplace: the founders originally wanted to create a blockchain game. So, needless to say, the company is slanted strongly in that direction and the AHGF feels like a natural progression.

The event, starting 19th June, will run for a week and is sponsored by the WAX blockchain and Blumint. WAX games will be the participating projects for this first event, though future AHGFs will expand to other ecosystems. The seven games involved are as follows:

I am pleased to say that I have experience with all of the participating projects and it’s a strong mix. The Forge Arena is coming along beautifully and I would recommend my What Is The Forge Arena? video on it, even if the information is now a little outdated in places.

Dark Country is one of our favorite TCGs and it has more under the hood than most in the genre. Avalon is an extremely ambitious fantasy MMORPG that I got to see in pre-alpha on a call with the founder of Danu Games, the studio behind it, and it was already looking pretty special.

This event represents a significant milestone for the WAX blockchain, as it marks the first-ever mass-participation gaming festival of its kind on our platform. By showcasing a diverse range of web3-powered games and collaborating with community leaders, streamers, and influencers, we aim to create a truly immersive and engaging experience for players.
