This coming week marks the first-ever AtomicHub Game Fest. But, what is it, how can you join, and what are the prizes?
Token Gamer and NFT Insider have decided to combine forces to launch a weekly podcast, Mint One (formerly WAX Lyrical). John Nichols of NFT Insider and I will discuss a new topic every week, as well as feature special guests. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover, make sure you let us know through the Token Gamer Discord or Twitter, or the NFT Insider Discord or Twitter.
In last week’s episode, we dived into the heavy topic of the SEC’s lawsuits with both Binance and Coinbase. This week, we lighten up a bit and discuss good old blockchain gaming!
Mint One Podcast, Episode 68: AtomicHub Game Fest
Let’s start with what AtomicHub Game Fest is. As you can see in our article on the announcement, AHGF runs from the 19th to the 25th of June. Each day will focus on a new game in the WAX ecosystem, and each game will have its own prizes. Here is the schedule:
- 19th June — CritterCraft: A livestream minigame
- 20th June — Warsaken: A military CCG
- 21st June — Blockchain Brawlers: A wrestling PvP card game
- 22nd June — Dark Country: A gothic, multifaceted TCG
- 23rd June — Avalon: A fantasy MMORPG
- 24th June —The Forge Arena: A competitive, 5v5 FPS
- 25th June — Acryptia: A rogue-lite card game
We are fans of every game on that list, and it’s quite the mix. From Avalon — one of the most ambitious web3 games in development, to Dark Country — one of the most underrated TCGs in the space, to Forge Arena — one of the best blockchain games; there is a lot to dive into here.
There will also be participation NFTs for joining any of the games on their day, prizes for the top players, and livestreams galore. This might the the first AHGF, but it won’t be the last, with more in the works for later in the year as other blockchains are inducted.
