John Nichols of NFT Insider and I will discuss a new topic every week, as well as feature special guests. Mint One, Episode 51: 2022 in Web3: A Year in Review

In episode 50 of the Mint One podcast, we went through our predictions and drank alcohol — it was meant to be a lighthearted episode. It ended up being rather depressing and the drinking did not help! Off the back of that, we decided to look at the positives of 2022, although we do glance at the major events too.

Every year in crypto I leave December wondering how a decade was stuffed into 12 months. 2022 felt like an entire lifetime and much of it was because of Terra, FTX, 3AC, hacks, and so on. But, what about the wealth of new blockchain games? What about the incredible levels of investment we have seen in blockchain gaming and metaverse projects? What about the never-before-seen mainstream adoption? If you can look past price — and it’s damned hard when we’re this deep in the red — you’ll see some long-term signs worth paying attention to.
