2022 in Web3: A Year in Review: Mint One 51

"If you can look past price — and it's damned hard when we're this deep in the red — you'll see some long-term signs worth paying attention to."

Well, that was a hell of a year with a lot of disasters, but were there any positives? Yes, lots actually.

Token Gamer and NFT Insider have decided to combine forces to launch a weekly podcast, Mint One (formerly WAX Lyrical). John Nichols of NFT Insider and I will discuss a new topic every week, as well as feature special guests. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover, make sure you let us know through the Token Gamer Discord or Twitter, or the NFT Insider Discord or Twitter.

In last week’s episode, we revisited our predictions for 2022 that we made in December 2021 and it was… interesting. In the last episode of 2022, we look back at the positives and what you might have missed!

Mint One, Episode 51: 2022 in Web3: A Year in Review

In episode 50 of the Mint One podcast, we went through our predictions and drank alcohol — it was meant to be a lighthearted episode. It ended up being rather depressing and the drinking did not help! Off the back of that, we decided to look at the positives of 2022, although we do glance at the major events too.

Every year in crypto I leave December wondering how a decade was stuffed into 12 months. 2022 felt like an entire lifetime and much of it was because of Terra, FTX, 3AC, hacks, and so on. But, what about the wealth of new blockchain games? What about the incredible levels of investment we have seen in blockchain gaming and metaverse projects? What about the never-before-seen mainstream adoption? If you can look past price — and it’s damned hard when we’re this deep in the red — you’ll see some long-term signs worth paying attention to.

We’d like to ask that if you listen to us on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, you rate us five stars and leave us a review if you enjoy Mint One. This helps both our podcast and the blockchain gaming ecosystem as a whole!

To listen to Mint One, you can find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, YouTube, and Google Podcasts.
